This vintage Henredon display cabinet combines beautiful craftsmanship with elegant functionality. Designed with four interior lights that illuminate each section, the cabinet creates a warm, gallery-like setting for books, glassware, or collected objects.
Crafted in richly toned mahogany, the cabinet features glass panels on the front and sides that allow light to pass through the piece, giving it a lighter visual presence despite its impressive scale. The front doors retain their original beveled glass, while adjustable tempered glass shelves allow the interior to be arranged for a variety of display needs. Subtle plate grooves allow china to be displayed securely as well.
The interior lighting is controlled by a discreet switch located inside the top of the cabinet, and the cabinet plugs into a standard outlet with a cord that runs neatly down the back.
This piece works beautifully as a library cabinet, illuminated display cabinet, or statement vitrine in both classic and contemporary interiors.
One side glass panel was professionally replaced with flat glass after the original panel broke. The remaining panels and front doors retain their original beveled glass.
