This 84” American of Martinsville Dania credenza is one we almost passed on.
It needed a lot of love when we found it, but we’ve worked with this line before and knew how strong the details could be. Once we started restoring the finish, the walnut grain came through in a way that didn’t feel right to cover up, so we chose to leave it natural rather than darken it. The result is a piece with more depth and movement instead of a flat, uniform tone.
The louvered drawer fronts are what set this one apart—adding texture across the entire front while still keeping a clean, minimal profile. It’s balanced by the original brass hardware, sculpted legs, and brass stretcher, which give the piece structure without feeling heavy.
At 84” wide, this is a true statement piece. It works well as a credenza, a large-scale media console, or a low dresser, with plenty of storage and a presence that anchors a space.
Fully restored and structurally sound. Drawers open smoothly, interiors are clean, and the original hardware has been preserved.
This is one of those pieces that doesn’t come around often, and even less often in this size.
