Sculptural Glass-Top Coffee Table in the Style of Adrian Pearsall
This striking vintage coffee table stopped us in our tracks—its sculptural wood base and curved glass top reminded us of the iconic “Stingray” table attributed to Adrian Pearsall.
We found it locally with a worn black finish and saw its potential right away. Javi carefully sanded the base down to reveal the natural beauty of the wood, reglued the joints to tighten it up, and left the finish raw and clean to highlight the craftsmanship. The thick, kidney-shaped glass top is original and heavy, with a beautiful organic shape that pairs perfectly with the dramatic angles of the base.
We couldn’t find a maker’s mark, so it’s unclear if this is an original or a well-crafted replica, but either way—it’s a showstopper. A functional piece of art that anchors a space.
